Inishcoo House is a beautiful 18th century coastguard station standing on an untamed 109 acre island, just a 5-minute boat ride from the mainland fishing village of Burtonport.
The house has been refurbished as a comfortable eco-retreat but retains its unique character.

Ground floor
The heart of the house is a large family room including a dining area and a well-equipped kitchen with two large fridges and a range cooker. You can relax on the comfortable sofas looking out over the bay, or warm up next to the crackling wood-burning stove.
Across the hall is a well-stocked library with a second wood-burning stove, games, a TV and DVD player. Further along is a lavatory, a room with a double bed and a bathroom. A utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer leads outside through the back door.
Bedrooms
Each room is named after one of the islands surrounding Inishcoo Island
GROUND FLOOR
The ground floor has one room with a king size bed, ILLANREAGH with its own bathroom with shower, lavatory and basin.
FIRST FLOOR
The first floor has two double rooms. One with a king size bed, INISHCOO and one with a queen size bed, EIGHTER. They share an ensuite bathroom complete with bath/shower, lavatory and basin. The window on the landing provides excellent views of the birds and boats.
SECOND FLOOR
The second floor has two double rooms , ARRANMORE & EDERNISH, and two small double rooms, INISHFREE & RUTLAND. There is a bathroom with a shower, lavatory and basin.
THIRD FLOOR
The third floor DORMITORY has 6 comfortable single beds and a play area : ideal and fun for children.
Surroundings
The large south-facing terrace looks out over the beautiful bay. The house and surrounding garden are completely enclosed and child safe. Beyond the garden lie a further six acres of private grounds, providing ample space to play and explore among the wild flowers and boulders.
Within the grounds stands a secluded stone watch hut from where coastguards have observed the bay for centuries, and from where guests can do the same today undisturbed.
