What our guests say…
following the completion of the extensive restoration project in 2013.
I wanted to let you know that our time on Inishcoo was truly fantastic. We were very warmly welcomed by Oscar and after a quick tour of the surrounding area we were left in total peace and quiet for the weekend. It really was a few days of total relaxation and a break from the rat race that everybody should experience.
We loved the house itself and were surprised at the amount of equipment and utensils which meant everything was catered for. We Kayaked, walked, read our books and watched the wildlife and the passing boats and we could have easily have stayed for 1 week.
I have only good things to say about the house and would recommend it to anybody. Our company is overseeing some transition at the moment and I will certainly keep it in mind for future events.
On a personal level we would hope to visit again with family or friends and we have already had many enquiries as to where we are in our photos, so you might hear from interested parties.
Once again, I can’t thank you enough and we hope to return one day soon.
Peter Forster, Newry, Co. Down
“The house is utterly gorgeous. It’s a perfect place for a family holiday.”
Heather Kinghan, Hillsborough, NI.
“The house and island are a tour de force. You saved a very nice surprise for me with your magnificent library. What a delight and the perfect place to while away a soft Donegal day”.
Dan Calley, Aghadowey & The Linen Hall Library Belfast.
“I loved my walk round the island – seeing such lovely places and flowers. I think the fat green caterpillar we found was an Emperor Moth, but I am not totally sure.”
Polly Hughes – Seaforde, Co. Down
“Nobody in England is going to believe how warm the water here is for swimming, and it is so clear we have just had the most gorgeous swim.”
Rupert Cotterell, Wincanton, Somerset
“We have just had the best beach day ever, anywhere in the world.”
Ferguson Family consensus on first day of holiday, July 2013
“What a wonderful place! I had looked forward to coming to the island since hearing about it earlier in the year. It was no disappointment; you have done a wonderful job of restoring the house.”
Patricia Nash, Ramelton, Co. Donegal
